The details of the Bloggers Summit are available

In general - the Bloggers Summit is a way for travel industry B2B bloggers from around the world to get together, share and exchange ideas and to participate in the Travel Industry Event of the Year. Bloggers Summit events include private meetings, private lunch gatherings, preferred access to Travel Innovation Summit CEO’s for interviews and The Bloggers Summit Workshop, presented by Tips From the T-List.

Conference Theme - The Perfect Storm: Search, Shop, Buy
After last year’s successful theme “Braving the Long Tail” and “Travel 2.0 Confronts the Establishment” the year before, the Center Stage 2008 theme at The PhoCusWright Conference is “The Perfect Storm: Search, Shop, Buy.” We will cast a Hollywood-sized spotlight on yet again new milestones in travel planning as well as the ensuing impact on customer experience. Excellent leadership in our industry is defined by those who actually fuel the storm, and in turn their own cause, by aligning their businesses with the contributing forces. This is the whole point of the “perfect storm” metaphor. So we invite speakers to cast their own spotlight, speaking from a boardroom (not IT) perspective on their view of leadership in this context.

Before You Apply (registration and fee information)
Participation at the PhoCusWright Bloggers Summit is on an invitation basis only. Your invitation is valid on a space available basis and should be made immediately to ensure your spot. You can apply by going to: http://www.phocuswright.com/the_phocuswright_conference_bloggers_summit#apply

Commoditization is a Dark Foe
All conferences are the same, right? WRONG!

Travel and media industry players work very hard to differentiate themselves and resist commoditization. At PhoCusWright we feel the same way about travel industry conferences.

In an industry mired in a sea-of-same, we strive to produce a conference that’s changing conferences.

Buzz is Palpable - Expectations are Enormous
Conference highlights abound, from the nuance to the nitty gritty. Pithy, provocative speakers form the centerpiece. Media coverage at past events included USA Today, The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, Business Week, The Wall Street Journal, CBS, Los Angeles Times, MSNBC, Reuters and the International Herald Tribune. Wall Street, private equity and venture capital coverage is also strong; sell side, buy side, pitching for capital and M&A talk fills the halls. Attendance is dominated by senior decision-makers from around the world and every node of the industry’s complex value chain. Last year’s event surpassed all records including over 1,000 high-level paid attendees from over 30 countries.

All in all, prominent travel, tourism, hospitality and media executives will engage, debate and define the ever-evolving reality of travel commerce. As thousands have witnessed over the many years PhoCusWright has produced this event, buzz is palpable. In many ways this gathering is the most strategic travel industry event of the year. Unlike so many other travel conferences, it’s a needle-moving event where fluff and politics step aside, making way for the business intricacies and powerful transformations that create value.

Expectations are enormous. Fresh ideas, incredible energy and serious business will prevail. We look forward to hearing from you soon and to having you join your peers and us come November.

Kind regards,

Bruce
